For my 25th birthday I went to the Big Apple! I was really worried that nothing would top my "Hawaiian 24th Luau/Beach Serenade birthday" but New York City was incredible! We traveled stand by so I didn't dare by tickets to Wicked until we actually got to the city. As soon
as we got in, we hurried to our hotel then headed to Gershwin Theater. I'd wanted to see Wicked so badly and that's all I'd talked about the whole way over! Unfortunately, when we got there the show was SOLD OUT! The Usher told us to try our luck in the stand by line so we took his advice. After waiting for about half an hour, they announced that they did have a limited number of tickets that were unclaimed or cancelled. There were about 15 people ahead of us so we didn't think we'd get in. As they admitted a few people at a time I got more and more nervous. The line was getting shorter and shorter ahead of us and then it was our turn... The Usher asked us how many tickets we needed. We said two and continued to wait. He went into the back to check the availability and came out a few minutes late to say, "We only have 2 more tickets available. Sorry to everyone behind these two" and pointed
to us!!! Yea!!! So with 3 minutes until the opening we ran to our seats! Turns out they were amazing seats!!! The birthday gods were definitely on my side!

I snuck this quick picture on my iphone... I couldn't help it! I was thrilled!

We also grabbed a quick picture during intermission! I must say Wicked was one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen! I literally started to cry during "Defying Gravity" and had the chills 90% of the time! I could watch it over and over... Love it!

After the show, I had to get a picture of every Wicked thing I saw!

Biggest fan ever!

Times Square! The hustle and bustle of this section of the city is so intriguing! I love the energy! It's indescribable!

More pics of Times Square
After Wicked and cruising around Times Square we went to dinner and headed back to get some sleep! We were pretty exhausted and I think Asaad was sick of me talking non-stop about Wicked! The next day we went to Norma's for a wonderful breakfast- per our beautiful New Yorker friend Marci Clark's suggestion! She was right! The food was amazing and I think I gained at least 3 pounds eating it! haha Vacation calories don't count I don't think?

Crispy French Toast served with carmel syrup and fresh squeezed grapefruit juice... Yum!
After breakfast we headed to the Museum of Modern Art. It was 6 floors of amazing art! We hardly knew where to start!
After a day of site seeing, we decided to have a little fun on Canal Street! Canal is the craziest place ever but it's so entertaining to see all the people and find random things to buy!

Asaad found some G-Shock watches and struck a deal with this guy... It only took 20 minutes! haha

Asaad's so excited about his new finds! I got a few purses and some scarves too! Such a fun little shopping spree!
We were tired after a long day of walking and Billy's Bakery (another suggestion from Marci- she honestly made the trip for us!) was calling our names! We went in there to buy one cupcake and ended up buying 4! haha

Chocolate/Chocolate, Vanilla with Chocolate, Vanilla with Vanilla and Carrot... Amazing! We nibbled on these for the rest of our trip and each flavor was to die for!

After a quick nap, we went to the Empire State Building. It was a perfectly clear night and the city looked amazing! I would recommend this experience to anyone! I loved it!

From the Observatory Level

A little blurry but as you can see the views were perfect!

Such a fun experience!

From the lobby of the building!

We decided to walk to Times Square and spend the rest of the evening hanging out there! I just love it there!

The next morning was our last day to spend in the City and it happened to be Asaad's 26th birthday! He picked to go back to Canal Street because he thinks it's so funny! We got him a few more watches and some scarves. I also got some jewelry and a few other fun things! Love Canal! haha
We had to get a picture of Asaad in front of Lucky's! We stumbled upon this when we first got to our hotel. (It was right around the corner from our Hotel in Chelsea) Asaad ate here every single day... He LOVED it!

Before we left, I wanted to get a few pictures of Chelsea where we stayed! It was such a cute little area! I loved it!

Our Hotel... Very small but oh so cute!

In the airport on our way home we saw this cute little boy...

I love his Yankee fitted, leather jacket and Nike high tops! So dang cute!

I have to say 25 was incredible to say the least... My favorite birthday so far!
