New Moon!

Tina, Tana, Taelyn, Tae's friend and I woke up at 2 am to see the 3 am showing of NEW MOON! I know that sounds crazy but it was totally worth it! Although I loved the movie, the only thing I can seem to remember it this...
I know he's only 19 but when you're this hot... who cares! haha Team Edward in the books, Team Jacob on the big screen hands down!!!

State Championship Game!

The Davis football team played in the State Championship game today and my team was lucky enough to get to perform at half time! The stadium is so much fun to dance in and the girls absolutely loved it!

The starters being announced as the team stood hand in hand in the end zone! Very cool!
The girls getting excited for the game to start! They're honestly the football teams biggest fans!
The boys heading to centerfield for their pre-game chants!
Getting pumped!
The girls got to perform their competition hip-hop routine! Coach Bishop let us borrow the practice jerseys for the performance! The crowd couldn't get enough of these little powder puff girls!
Getting ready to take the field!
They're so tough!
The Davis crowd was huge! It was a wonderful game; and despite leading the game for the first 3 quarters, we ended up losing 35-24 in the end. It was a wonderful opportunity for my team and such a fun game to watch! We're all very proud of the Davis boys!

Davis is going to the State Finals!

The football team has done such a great job this year and the D'Ettes have loved getting to perform at all their games! Last fridays game was especially fun because the girls got to perform at Rice Eccles Stadium!
Just watching the game from the 50 yard line! They're the biggest fans!
The other half! So cute!
The opening kick off! Go Davis!
The girls and I right before they performed!
Kelsey, Aubrie, Stefanie, Kenzie and Madi trying not to freeze to death!
The Davis fans!
The final score... 41-17 Davis! Congrats boys!
The end of game celebration!
Everyone is excited to watch them take on Bingham High in the State Championship next Friday! Good luck Davis!

Pitbull live at Harry O's!

I'm not the biggest fan of Pitbull but I love concerts and doing anything with my friends! So after the jazz game we headed up to Harry O's for a little latin love with Pitbull!
Nicole, Jess and me
He actually did a pretty good job! I had a really good time!
We had VIP right in the front so it was such a fun night!
Go Pitbull!
Shortly after this, I touched his hand! haha
Harry O's was the most packed I've ever seen it! Walking up to the front of the stage was dangerous! It was a little insane!

We had a great time and Pitbull was so entertaining! Another great night with my girls!

Thriller!!!

Every year it's a Halloween Tradition for me to go to Thriller! This year I decided to take my whole team! We had such a great time!
Creepy...
Getting ready for the show to start!
Nicole and Jocelyn also came and we all absolutely loved it! It's such a fun tradition and I hope to continue going for years to come!

25 and Feeling Alive!

For my 25th birthday I went to the Big Apple! I was really worried that nothing would top my "Hawaiian 24th Luau/Beach Serenade birthday" but New York City was incredible! We traveled stand by so I didn't dare by tickets to Wicked until we actually got to the city. As soon
as we got in, we hurried to our hotel then headed to Gershwin Theater. I'd wanted to see Wicked so badly and that's all I'd talked about the whole way over! Unfortunately, when we got there the show was SOLD OUT! The Usher told us to try our luck in the stand by line so we took his advice. After waiting for about half an hour, they announced that they did have a limited number of tickets that were unclaimed or cancelled. There were about 15 people ahead of us so we didn't think we'd get in. As they admitted a few people at a time I got more and more nervous. The line was getting shorter and shorter ahead of us and then it was our turn... The Usher asked us how many tickets we needed. We said two and continued to wait. He went into the back to check the availability and came out a few minutes late to say, "We only have 2 more tickets available. Sorry to everyone behind these two" and pointed
to us!!! Yea!!! So with 3 minutes until the opening we ran to our seats! Turns out they were amazing seats!!! The birthday gods were definitely on my side!
I snuck this quick picture on my iphone... I couldn't help it! I was thrilled!
We also grabbed a quick picture during intermission! I must say Wicked was one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen! I literally started to cry during "Defying Gravity" and had the chills 90% of the time! I could watch it over and over... Love it!
After the show, I had to get a picture of every Wicked thing I saw!
Biggest fan ever!

Times Square! The hustle and bustle of this section of the city is so intriguing! I love the energy! It's indescribable!

More pics of Times Square
After Wicked and cruising around Times Square we went to dinner and headed back to get some sleep! We were pretty exhausted and I think Asaad was sick of me talking non-stop about Wicked! The next day we went to Norma's for a wonderful breakfast- per our beautiful New Yorker friend Marci Clark's suggestion! She was right! The food was amazing and I think I gained at least 3 pounds eating it! haha Vacation calories don't count I don't think?
Crispy French Toast served with carmel syrup and fresh squeezed grapefruit juice... Yum!
After breakfast we headed to the Museum of Modern Art. It was 6 floors of amazing art! We hardly knew where to start!

They had a huge Monet exhibit... I was taken back to my days of AP Art History with Mr. Orem... I was in heaven!

As you can see, it was incredible! It's definitely a must see!
As soon as we were done with the museum, we headed to Central Park! I absolutely loved it!
It was a gorgeous day! This saxiphone player under the bridge was my favorite! I love the Sax and when he started playing the Pink Panther theme it was so much fun!
Beautiful day in the park!

Another suggestion Marci had for us was to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. So we headed Downtown and make the trek!
The views were amazing and the walk was so much fun!

Walking on the bridge!
After a day of site seeing, we decided to have a little fun on Canal Street! Canal is the craziest place ever but it's so entertaining to see all the people and find random things to buy!
Asaad found some G-Shock watches and struck a deal with this guy... It only took 20 minutes! haha
Asaad's so excited about his new finds! I got a few purses and some scarves too! Such a fun little shopping spree!
We were tired after a long day of walking and Billy's Bakery (another suggestion from Marci- she honestly made the trip for us!) was calling our names! We went in there to buy one cupcake and ended up buying 4! haha
Chocolate/Chocolate, Vanilla with Chocolate, Vanilla with Vanilla and Carrot... Amazing! We nibbled on these for the rest of our trip and each flavor was to die for!
After a quick nap, we went to the Empire State Building. It was a perfectly clear night and the city looked amazing! I would recommend this experience to anyone! I loved it!
From the Observatory Level
A little blurry but as you can see the views were perfect!
Such a fun experience!
From the lobby of the building!
We decided to walk to Times Square and spend the rest of the evening hanging out there! I just love it there!
The next morning was our last day to spend in the City and it happened to be Asaad's 26th birthday! He picked to go back to Canal Street because he thinks it's so funny! We got him a few more watches and some scarves. I also got some jewelry and a few other fun things! Love Canal! haha

We had to get a picture of Asaad in front of Lucky's! We stumbled upon this when we first got to our hotel. (It was right around the corner from our Hotel in Chelsea) Asaad ate here every single day... He LOVED it!
Before we left, I wanted to get a few pictures of Chelsea where we stayed! It was such a cute little area! I loved it!

Our Hotel... Very small but oh so cute!
In the airport on our way home we saw this cute little boy...
I love his Yankee fitted, leather jacket and Nike high tops! So dang cute!
I have to say 25 was incredible to say the least... My favorite birthday so far!

My Birthday Part 2

As soon as I got back from New York, I headed to Huntington Beach to visit my sister and her family! It was a very special weekend not only because it was my birthday, but because my Dad came with me and finally met my sister! It was so wonderful to see them get to know each other. The night we got there, we all went out to a great Mexican Restaurant on Huntington's Main Street. We had some great conversations and my Dad and Vona were able to get to know each other better! I should've taken pictures but we were all so excited to hang out I completely forgot! We stayed up way too late talking and exchanging stories from our past. The next morning we walked down the street to Huntington's Pier and had some breakfast at Ruby's on the Pier. This was a very special breakfast that I'll always remember. As the conversation turned to my Dad and Vona finally meeting each other, Vona expressed how grateful she was to meet our family. She said she knew when she saw my Dad that he was her Father and she felt peace in her heart. There wasn't a dry eye at the table. I feel so blessed to have Vona, her husband Ed and her 3 boys Brett, Blake and Bowen in my life. They are the most wonderful people I have ever met. I feel so comfortable and loved when I'm with them and I wouldn't trade them for the world. The Lord's plan is often different than we imagine and for that I am truly grateful.

We spent the rest of the day checking out Huntington! I even made a new friend... haha
As soon as this picture was taken, I got a little closer and he almost got me! haha My Dad about died laughing... I guess it was a close one!

The next day Vona and I spent the whole day shopping! Probably the best day ever... Love my sister Love shopping and LOVE shopping with my sister! Honestly, we had way too much fun and spent WAY too much money!

Sunday morning Ed's dad Ed Sr. took us boating on his beautiful Boat! It was such a beautiful day and I'm always in the mood for boating!
The beautiful Dana Point Harbor West
Ed and Blake hanging out in the back of the boat
Gorgeous view of Dana Point
Vona and I enjoying the ride! "Boat Trophies" hahaha
Such a beautiful town!
Ed and his parents checking out the view! I loved Ed Sr.'s shirt: Old Guys Get All The Chicks with the i in Chicks crossed out with and e above it! (checks) haha He's a great guy!
Blake and I hanging out on the way back to the harbor. Blake is a genius and so interesting... I could talk to him for hours! It's hard to believe he's only a Junior in high school!
Sailboats... I love the Ocean!
Just hanging out on the boat! Love these guys so much!
Great day together!
These sea lions were so cute! They just layed there all day soaking up the sun!
I love the little one in the middle!
The "airforce" as Ed Sr. calls them! haha They were right by us!

I'm pretty sure my 25th birthday is one I will never forget! I'm so thankful for my amazing family and friends!
